AARP volunteers will once again be providing tax assistance in 2017 for 2016 tax returns.
You must make an appointment in person at the library when an AARP representative greeter is present. Please do not call the library for an appointment. A limited number of walk-ins may be accepted each day. The AARP volunteers will begin taking appointments on Wednesday, 2/1.
AARP Tax assistance will be available on the following dates in 2017.
We ask for your patience this year as new volunteers prepare tax returns. Extra time may be needed for the review process.
Taxpayers are responsible for the accuracy of their returns. Returns will be filed electronically. Certain tax returns are out of scope for the program (including rental property, farm income, the shared policy allocation of the affordable care act and others). Taxpayers with these and other complex returns will be advised to seek assistance from a paid tax preparer. Taxpayers are required to complete Form 13614-C before their appointment.
