Mania: Teens,
join us for Animanga Mania! On August 25
from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, we'll watch anime and host an
open-draw session upstairs at the library. You can even cosplay if you want. No
registration required; just show up to watch, snack, and draw!
Thursday, Sept. 2, 6:30-7:30 pm
Teen Advisory Board Meeting & Pizza Party: Calling all teens! Join the GPL Teen Advisory Board. We’ll have our first meeting of the school year in the library's Hiller Room from 6:30-7:30 on Sept. 2. Come feast on pizza while we plan upcoming library programs for teens. New members welcome!
Thursday, Sept. 2, 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Classic Book Club for Homeschoolers: Homeschooled teens aged 12 and up are invited to join us at the library on the first Thursday of each month from 1:00-2:00 pm for a Classic Book Club. We’ll enjoy snacks, talk about what we’ve read, and have fun! On Sept. 2, we’ll be discussing Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the GPL Circulation Desk. Call 343-6118 to sign up, or stop by the Reference Desk. Cost is $1.00 per family to participate.
Wednesday, Sept. 8, 3:30-5:00 pm
Teen Movie Club: Attention movie-lovers! Come join us upstairs at the library each month for Teen Movie Club! We’ll have food, friends, and a free movie on the big screen. On Sept. 8 from 3:30-5:00 pm, we’ll be watching a new release based on Lewis Carroll’s classic fantasy adventure. Come and cast your vote for next month’s movie. No registration required.
Saturday, Sept. 18, 2:00-4:00 pm
Animanga Mania Special - Food Anime: Hey Animanga-Maniacs! On September 18 from 2:00-4:00 pm, come enjoy scrumptious food anime, tasty snacks, and a prize drawing. Make or bring a Japanese treat to share and get an extra chance to win! No registration required.
