Free Big Read Kickoff: Stir Friday Night
Come kick off the 2023 NEA Big Read at the Orpheum Theatre with a free improv performance by Stir Friday Night, Chicago’s longest-running Asian American comedy team! They will perform their newest show, the Improvised Martial Art Movie, a completely improvised fight choreography experience. Alumni of Stir Friday Night include Danny Pudi from Community, Steven Yeun from The Walking Dead, and Mary Sohn from AP Bio.
Doors open at 7:30 PM and admission is free. Event is PG-13 and is geared towards adults. This event is made possible through a partnership with the Galesburg Public Library Foundation and a generous donation from a patron.
This event is part of Galesburg Public Library’s NEA Big Read of Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu. Free copies of Interior Chinatown will be available at the event.
