Galesburg Public Library

Donating to the Archives

The goal of the Galesburg Public Library Archives is to collect, document, preserve and make available for research materials relating to the history of the city of Galesburg and Knox County.

In general, the Archives collects manuscripts, photographs and other non-written records, family and personal papers, maps and atlases, and printed and published materials relating to Galesburg. Additional guidelines on the scope of materials accepted can be found in the library’s Materials Selection Policy, but are not exhaustive and do not guarantee an item will be accepted.

All donated materials must be accompanied by a signed Deed of Gift.

If you are interested in donating materials, contact the archivist at or by calling the library at (309) 343-6118.
