Spend your Spring Break at Galesburg Public Library!
Students in Galesburg School District 205 will be enjoying Spring Break the week of April 11-15. Looking for activities to fill up your kiddos’ days that won’t break the bank? Give one of these free library programs a try.
Maker Madness: Kids in grades K-6 are invited to drop in for free crafting time every weekday morning between 10:00 and noon during Galesburg D205’s Spring Break. Each day we’ll provide a different collection of arts and crafts supplies. Your only limit is your imagination! No registration required; just drop in and see where your creativity takes you.
Life-Size Games for Tweens: Ever tried playing a Jenga game that’s taller than you are? How about a game of Pac-Man, where the ghosts are chasing YOU? On Monday, April 11 from 2:00-4:00 PM, kids in grades 4-6 are invited to come compete against friends in a variety of giant games and win fun prizes. Advance registration is required in the Children’s Room.
Teen Advisory Board & Pop-Up Poetry Cards: Library fun isn’t just for the little kids! Teens aged 13-18 (or grades 7-12) can make their voices heard by trying out our Teen Advisory Board on Thursday, April 14 at 6:00 PM. After the meeting, stick around for some DIY. Starting around 6:45, teens can use paper, scissors, and glue to craft 3D pop-up cards. Advance registration is required for both the meeting and the craft.
