1835 - 1835

Presbyterians and Congregationalists in the East, mostly in New York, showed interest in becoming a part of Gale’s plans. This year, Gale authored the “Circular and Plan” which outlined the broad concepts for the college and town. Gale’s original idea for the settlement was a gird system based around North, South, Academy, and Seminary Streets.
